    ORIGINAL 1930s TRADE - ADVERTISING CARD
    F.I.C.M. GRAND PRIX MOTORCYCLE,175 C.C. AND 350 C.C. CLASSES
    This is officially regarded as the
    most important Continental motor-
    cycle race of the year, and was run
    off on a road-and-track circuit at
    Montlhery, near Paris, on Sunday,
    June 28, 1931. The races for 175 c.c.
    and for 350 c.c. machines were held
    in the morning, resulting in a win
    for Eric C. Fernihough, riding an
    Excelsior-J.A.P., his speed averaging
    52 m.p.h. The Junior Race was won
    by G. E. Nott (Rudge) at 69-98
    m.p.h. over a course of 186 miles.'
    The second was Stanley Woods (Nor
    ton) and the third Renier (Velocette).
    Another Velocette came in fourth
    a decisive victory for British machines.
