I collect these shells while snorkeling in Dorado, Puerto Rico, and I collect only empty shells. While the sunrise tellins are abundant, I don't often come across these speckled ones. The butterfly pairs are currently together, but they are a natural product and I can't say that they will stay together. When I use them for crafts, a drop of hot glue does the trick. These are very sturdy shells.
• The larger tan and cream butterfly pair is about 3" across and about 2.5" high
• The small burgundy and cream butterfly pair is about 1.25" across and about the same high
• The 12 single halves range from 1/4" across and about 1/2" high to about 1.25" across and about 2.5" high
