We have here a few nice sets of fine walnut grips for the Unique "Mikros" pistol model "L".
The "Mikros" pistol was made by Armes Unique or by MAPF (Manufacture d' Arms de Pyrenus Francaises), a French manufacturer of small arms
.
The Unique Model L Pistol was introduced in the mid-1960s and was an updated version of the various pre-war models.
These grips do not fit any other makes or models, including the Model "K" (see our other listings for grips for the Model K).  It is a small pistol made in .22/.32/.380/9mm calibers, and are fairly rare and therefore is collectible to many enthusiasts.  We've made these in response to a number of customer requests who saw our Model K grips, as the parts for the gun are difficult to locate now, 60+ years after production of the gun ended.  These grips are for either caliber of the Model "L" but are ONLY for the Model "L" and are for no other models.  A truly "unique" aspect of this gun was the full carbine stock that was offered for it, with the pistol fitting up into the stock.
Screws are not included with these grips; use the original screws present on the gun from the factory.
These grips are checkered and do NOT have the "Mikros
" insignia engraved into the grip panels, as can be seen in the photos; if you would like the version we make with the Mikros insignia engraved into the grip as well, please see our other listings.
These are natural walnut, and the exact shade and grain of each set will vary, with some darker or lighter; each set's grain will be different from the next, as no two pieces of wood are identical.  An example of a set is shown in the photos.  The photos are all of the same set, and the camera flash causes the redder image.  The wood is actually brown, rather than red, but each grip set will differ in shade and grain pattern because these are made of natural walnut.

While some pistols are often difficult to identify, we can help you determine the proper grips you need for your pistol.
These are (perhaps fittingly!) made of French walnut, similar to the wood found in many of our other fine grips.  The grips are not varnished but are hand-oiled to preserve them and enhance their protection during use and storage.
These are finely-checkered grips as the originals were.  We've found these are much nicer to hold than the original plastic grips on the gun, and help accuracy as the shooter can more easily maintain a secure hold on the gun.
If you're not sure of what model you own, you can contact us for help.  These grips are not stained in any way, so what you see is the natural walnut wood.  The grips can be oiled with a fine linseed or tung oil but are uncoated to allow the natural wood's grain and color to be visible.  Natural wood varies in shade and grade, any your grips may vary from those shown in the photos.
Those shown are examples of what we have and you will receive a set of equal quality and similar color and grain characteristics.

These were made on CNC equipment, so t
he fit is precise, and when installed will highly enhance the appearance of your firearm.  There are no medallions or other things that weren't there to begin with; just simple, good-looking grips for a classic pistol that seems to be gaining in popularity.
The grips do not include any grip screws, so if you need screws you can check our other listings as we sometimes have various screws available.
These are ONLY for the model(s)/series specified above, and are not sold or intended to fit any other Star model.  It is up to you to be sure these are appropriate for your gun.  If you're not sure, ASK!  Know your gun's model, as we may require such info to help you.
