Conklin 4 Crescent Filler Filigree Pen.
This week I will be some pens with some great flex nibs as well as some exceptional Conklins. I also have several Parker & Waterman NOS pens & parts in my eBay store!
Here is a Conklin Crescent Filler 4 size slip cap gold filled filigree pen. This early example is stamped with a 4 near the base of the barrel and has a Conklin 4 Toledo stub nib with some flex. The filigree pattern is impressive with leaves done in thin strands, there is one small bit of damage to a filigree section in the cap visible in the 4th image. The pen has a bit of brassing along the top edge of the cap and a few small marks throughout. Overall the condition is quite good and the filigree design is very impressive in person. Early slip cap filigree Conklins are uncommon and this pattern/nib combination make this a must for any Conklin collection.
