Description
The pen as best I can describe it:1) the sapphire blue body is in almost flawless condition. I can detect 3 tiny marks, the largest of which can be seen near the base of the refill lever.
2) all metal parts are gold or gold plated. If any appear otherwise it is due to the quality of the photo only.
3) the refill lever, marked Nov 17 1925, works well but does not close completely flat against the pen. When it is raised so I can see inside, I see metal with a small bit of rusting.
4) the gold clip on the pen cap indicates a Pat. # of May 28, 1918
5) imprinted on the body of the pen are the Conklin trade mark, Toledo, Ohio USA, and ENDURA
6) the gold nib with the words Conklin and Endura is used but does not have any other printing and does not appear to be damaged.
In the item details I checked off 14K gold but I am not sure this is correct. All I can really verify is that it is gold.
