Description
This listing is for a circa 1930 CONKLIN ENDURA SYMETRIC fountain pen in marbled black and pearl. The pen is 5-3/16" long and has gold filled trim and an inlaid Crescent gold logo above the clip. Gold filled trim has no brassing and the clip is marked CONKLIN (in script) and a 5-28-18 patent date (I think for the clip only). The small Conklin lever has a Nov. 7, 1925 patent date and a crescent on the tab. The 4 line barrel imprint contains not only the Conklin mark and location, it is also marked ENDURA and SYMETRIK. There is a full name monogram below the lever. The pen has toning, but especially on the barrel.. visible in the photos. The material is otherwise excellent with the exception of good size chunk out of the rounded end to the barrel due to material failure. There are good pen mechs that can restore this significant flaw. There are no other noted indications of material failure on the pen. It is a lever filler and will require a new sac before it will take up ink. The nib is a pretty 14kt "CONKLIN, ENDURA." I think it it is a medium, but possibly a fine and moderate flexibility.Prior to bidding, please read below the information on payment, return policy and on international shipping.
