Item Description: Here is a
pair of three piece set of salt cellar, salt spoon, and pepper shaker set made by Gorham . Each set also has the cobalt blue glass insert.
The salt cellars (A4958)
measures
1-1/4” at its widest and 1-1/4” tall. The pepper shakers (A4957) stand about 2-1/2” tall and
about
1-3/4”
at its wides
t. The salt spoons (H205) are 2-3/8” long and about 5/8” at its widest. All together the silver (not including the glass inserts weighs 111 grams
.
This set is monogrammed with the letter “R” and is in great shape with no major dents, dings, or scratches. It could use a great polishing. NOTE: the green holding tray DOES NOT come with the lid. This would be great to add to your collection or use in your next special occasion.
History About Item:
According to my research,
this set was made somewhere between last quarter of 19th century to early 20th century. Based on the simple design I’m putting this pair of the three piece set in the later part of the 20th century (1920-1930). I think it’s hard to find the complete set. It’s even harder to find a pair of them.

during one of my treasure hunting trips across the US.
