13” x 10” Framed and matted version.
This is NOT the smaller coaster-sized piece of turf.
In 1993, Joe Montana came to KC. The first thing they did in 1994 was replace the AstroTurf with real grass for the aging QB. The Chiefs then cut the historic turf into sections, painted the arrowhead logo and TM on each piece, then sold the sections to raise money and donate to Chiefs charities. This is the larger size which was framed, matted, and includes a backer from the team. A very nice presentation!
This is game used turf. Played upon by the likes of Christian Okoye, Derrick Thomas, Joe Montana, Marcus Allen, and other KC greats. It was also used, of course, by visiting stars like Dan Marino, Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman, Barry Sanders, John Elway, and many more!
