    Description

    This listing is for the leak detector as shown.  Lets start with the fact it does NOT work and is being sold AS-IS as you see it, NO RETURN.  Also, the batteries shown ARE NOT INCLUDED, NO BATTERIES!!!!  It has sat with batteries in it and the terminals are corroded and make very inconsistent contact.  With batteries installed for testing purposes only, it would not turn on.  If I moved the batteries around and put pressure on them, I could get the tool to start beeping very rapidly, but as soon as I let off from whatever pressure or upward tilt of the battery, it would stop working.  So I believe it would need removal of the terminals, a complete cleaning of said terminals and re-installation of terminals.  On the plus side, the unit is in decent physical condition with some dirty spots, but nothing broken.  I have installed the brand new tip that came with the unit and am including the old tip as it may be just fine, but when I was trying to get it to work, I installed the new tip to see if that would make a difference, it did not.  Also included are a few of the cross shaped white cloth things that go inside the tip, I guess they may be considered filters??  Will be shipped in a padded flat rate envelope.  B
