One of a kind item. These “Puma Marcus” cleats are photomatched (Resolution Photomatching) to Allen’s best season as a pro. More precisely, to December 15th, 1985 vs the Seattle Seahawks. Marcus totaled 107 yards and one TD on 27 carries. The cleats show significant use, see photos. Each cleat is autographed by Marcus with his signature and a “best wishes” inscription. Number 32 is inscribed to the back of each cleat. “Puma Marcus” is stamped on the side of each cleat. The cleats appear to be size 12. In the 1980s it was common place for athletes to wear the same cleats for multiple games. Although they are only photomatched to the game against the Seahawks, there is a strong possibility that they were used for additional games during the 1985 NFL season. Marcus is arguably one of the greatest players to ever suit up in the silver and black. Even more so, his 74 yard touchdown run in Super Bowl 18 is quite possibly one of the greatest runs in Raider history let alone Super Bowl history.
