Mixed Ephemera Lot - Newberry Opera House - 1939 (South Carolina). Cinema.

Description

For sale is a nice mixed lot of ephemera related to the Newberry Opera House, Newberry, South Carolina.  The Opera House is still open as a live venue and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  Only one item is dated (1939), but all appear to be of the same era.  The Opera House stopped showing films in 1952.
The lot includes:
(1) A program card featuring a photo of the Opera House and movie ad for "Gun Packer" on the front and ads for the 1939 movies "King of the Turf" and "Pride of the Navy" as well as the Follies of Broadway musical comedy show on the rear.  The rear has mild light toning. Measures 4.5" x 3.5";
(2) 4 unused red-orange tickets for seats in the main floor, right center of the theater, which measure 3.75" x 1.25". "H. B. Wills, Mgr.";
(3) 3 un
used blue tickets for seats in the main floor, right of the theater, which measure 3.75" x 1.25".

(5) 8 unused mailing address labels, which measure 4.25" x 3"; and
(6) a double-paned Magic Lantern advertising slide, which measures the standard 4" x 3.25".  The slide reads: "Here's the answer to your/CHRISTMAS SHOPING PROBLEM/give your friends/OPERA HOUSE TICKET BOOKS/.20 worth of tickets for .00/No where can you buy so much pleasure/for so little -- On sale at the Box Office."   (I've added  white paper backing to one of the photos of the slide to make it easier to read).
