    Description

    This sale is for a vintage tang sight that was made for early Wesson target rifles. A previous owner removed most of the threads from the stem, leaving it a smooth .228" diameter. This way it could could slide up and down in an unthreaded hole in the tang of the rifle; he then put a flat on one side to orient the sight and have a place for the elevation set screw, (this modification can be reversed so that the sight can be used as originally produced). It is of very precise construction and the hinge, windage slide and spring work smoothly. The sight retains traces of its fire blue finish and is in excellent working condition.
