This is RARE pair of extraordinarily UNIQUE IN DESIGN consisting of an intricately PAIR of engraved pictorial LOVE TOKENS of a TRAIN LOCOMOTIVE with the owners monogrammed initials. Perhaps belonged to a notable conductor OR RR TYCOON. Enameling throughout on the train itself and the fancy monogrammed initials.
The stories this special piece could tell...a UNIQUE incredible addition to any astute love token collection. I would imagine this is pretty rare as of the many hundreds of love tokens I have ever seen or handled - none had an INTRICATELY engraved enameled train on a PAIR OF SEATED HALF dollar no less.
How many serious collectors of love tokens out there have an enameled locomotive on a half dollar ....would be hard pressed to find another PAIR of this design/quality.
