Description

Scott Laidlaw 1971
Shriner
Football Trophy. 4 years prior to be drafted to the NFL. Laidlaw was born in Los Angeles and attended the Hawthorne High School.
Scott
career
included the Dallas Cowboys and the NY Giants. He played in
Super bowl
XII & XIII. The plaque reads Robert Laidlaw. His full name is Robert Scott Laidlaw and usually just goes by Scott.
How I got the Trophy. I believe his family had a storage locker here in my hometown. I found several items and names linking the contents of the unit to him. I also have a few year books in my store from his high school. He attended the same school as the Beach Boys. I have a total of 3 trophies (depending on sales) for sale.
Condition. The trophy is overall good condition for its age. There is some some heavy wear on the sides and scratches on the plaque. The football player is a solid metal. If you are into NFL collecting this is a truly rare piece that belonged to an early player making his way before the world knew him or what he was going to accomplish.
