Set of 4 fat round crackle glass salt & pepper shakers with sterling tops

Offered for sale by Caspar’s Place is
a set of 4 fat, round sterling silver salt and pepper shakers by an unknown maker.
The tops are each marked simply with “STERLING.”
The shakers are NOT monogrammed.  The sterling tops are in fairly good estate condition, although the threads are quite black with old tarnish and salt corrosion.  This is largely not visible – see photographs – and does not affect their fastening securely.  In addition, the tops
have the ordinary patina of old tarnish and fine scratches to be expected with age and use.  The glass appears to be in good condition with no noticeable chips or scratches.  The set’s price reflects the condition of the shakers.  This charming set of shakers will make a lovely addition to any silver collection.
The tops combined weigh approximately 0.16 troy ounces.  Each shaker is roughly 1.75” tall and 1” in diameter at the base.  They are roughly 1.5” in diameter in the middle.
