I collect seashells from the beaches of northern Puerto Rico--no live shells, ever. I rinse them in a light bleach solution and set them out to dry. The pretty gloss on these shells is all natural. While most of these pairs are together, this is a natural product and the hinges might not hold up during shipping. These shells are very sturdy and stand up well to hot glue.
