Vintage Sterling Silver & Enameled Spoon American Legion Charles L Bacon Oechsle

Really interesting 1960's sterling spoon with enameled picture of Charles L Bacon, a Past commander of the American Legion in the 1960s. This item crosses a number of collectors boxes:  Those who collect sterling spoons, those who collect Military items and those who collect enameled items - particularly those down by Albert. Oechlse, a renowned Missouri artist of enameling - particularly spoons.  Personally, we think this would best be displayed in an American Legion Hall - perhaps one in Mid Missouri (Jefferson City) where Mr Oechsle worked.  But any spoon collector would probably also love to have this!
Spoon is 4.5 inches long and weighs 14.3 grams. Amazing portrait for enameling.
